Chat Widget local test returns 'null' incorrectly

Customer repeats same request that returned a value and rather than getting a similar response to the prior run, gets a ‘null’ response. Seems related to having a dialog with the chat widget in the local test environment b/c it also doesn’t handle follow-up questions correctly.
